While I am sure that title (or some variation on the theme) has been used millions of times before when discussing one’s Sunday Bloody Mary brunch, it really does seem fitting this morning.
Today just couldn’t have come fast enough for us here at Shami’s Gourmet. Our Ubons Bloody Mary Mixes arrived earlier this week (sadly they were sitting in the managers office for a few days but no one bothered to tell us it had arrived) so we spent the last few days discussing ad nauseum our menu both in and around the Bloody Mary’s.
While waiting for our Bloody Mary mixes to arrive, we prepared a Pinterest collection featuring some of the wild and wacky Bloody Mary concoctions out there. Sliders, shrimp, pizza, asparagus, pickles, eggs, bacon and even entire chickens adorn some of these monstrosities!!! Sadly, we were not in the position to be as grandiose.
First, we decided to sous vide some scrambled eggs and sizzle up some bacon. But I must preface this by saying that I normally DO NOT eat eggs. To me, what do I hate more, hard-boiled/deviled eggs or sunny side up runny eggs? Seriously, that is a toss up as both of them disgust me!! I was a bit hesitant on the sous vide scramble but since we are “sous viding” our way through the week, I figured why not.
While the eggs were cooking and the bacon was cooling, we prepared our Ubons Hot and Spicy Bloody Marys which included: crispy thick cut bacon, celery, cocktail onions, homemade pickled garlic, olives, jalapenos, kosher dill pickles and sous vide cayenne & garlic mushrooms. Not soo shabby if we do say so ourselves.
What came out were the creamiest and tastiest scrambled eggs I have EVER eaten. Who knew I actually like scrambled eggs . .as long as they are made sous vide!!
I must admit, photo wise, this is not my best work, we were just so darn excited to start eating that we said screw it. . these will have to do!!
Like a great many items, not only do we carry Ubons PitMaster’s Hot & Spicy Bloody Mary Mix at Shami’s Gourmet, we enjoy the hell out of it ourselves!
And so does our dog, Flaca. I can promise that she wasn’t looking at me in this picture.
She was scoping out the Bloody and Bacon!!
